Iron Man Boots

I'm now finishing up fibreglassing all of my mk 6 armour, and i'm not sure how to do the boots. I'm using Robo's files, which when made are in 3 different parts with the heel and sole being individually sealed pieces.
Anyone done these boots before and know how to strengthen them properly?

you could use expanding foam (AKA "great stuff") but be sure to fill only 1/2 or 1/4 cause its gonna expand, and if you put too much, your shoe will literally explode HAHAHA mine exploded unfortunately which is why Im telling you, just fill it up slowly

I was going to do the same thing, but how does that affect the way it bends under the sole? Also, I'm doing the Mk7, and it has crossbars to seal the sole from the heel-don't they get in the way?

Sounds like a good idea. I'm thinking oh hardening the whole thing with resin, then making a hole in the sealed sections of the boots and adding little bits of expanding foam at a time?

hmm, you can actually cut those sealed sections up, then fill it with foam (as much as you like) cause now, the foam has somewhere to escape, your boot will be sturdy and fully filled with foam without exploding. Then just trim the excess foam off using a saw AFTER it is not sticky anymore
