Iron Man 3 Shenanigans suggestions/help

Anyone doing anything special for Iron Man 3. I decided to take a break from my other project and make the mark 8 forearm to go with my helmet.
Working on Zabana's and files in cardboard, going to cover that and the helmet in foam.
Feel free to post what you are doing here, it's good for motivation.

Ya, I've been working on my Iron Man 3 Helmet. Trying to get it done by the premiere. It's coming along! Nothing more motivating than seeing all these awesome trailers on tv as of late!

I created a quick Iron Patriot helmet using cereal box cardboard for my friend! I am also going to make the Mark 42 for me

I'm going to the marathon and I'm working on the "flight test" costume from Iron Man 1, I figure it's the only thing I could wear comfortably for 8-10 hours in a movie theater. That and a couple of arc reactors for some friends.

Lookin good so far! Might I ask who's files you're using for the forearm? It's looking sweet.

Are you using the paper files or one of the foam unfolds? If foam are you using helagaks or ironmaided's? Appreciate the info.

So because I am a spoiled brat and know people with access to awesome tools and CNC mills, I am getting my flight test costume milled out this week. I also spent some time coming up with arc reactor 2D files for my quick and dirty arcs. Here they are.







These are meant to be cut out (laser, CNC, by hand for anyone brave!) and put on top of a light diffusion ring. Once I get them cut out and mine started I'll post up some pics so hopefully it makes more sense. SVGs upon request.

i have a light up arc reactor shirt from thinkgeek and wearing my helmet, thats all i have finished completely on my costume so far so at least i can geek out a little bit

First post in the forum!

I am making an arc reactor for a friend that's making a Ironman pepakura suit.. I may use it for the IM3!

I started with a 3D model made by "Rocket828" at thingiverse.

Printed it on my Makerbot Replicator2 and started to cover some parts with aluminum tape to get more of the "metal/shiny finish"..
(didn't have any grey/silver PLA around)

I then started to wrap the "coils" with a wire we have at work that my boss bought some time ago.
This wire is actually not a copper wire, i think this is used on top of roofs to slowly remove moss when it rains!
It's more like a hard wire.. But i think it looks good!

I am not going for movie accuracy on this one, as its actually my first real try on something like this!
And i quickly realized that i am going to have problems with the two "coils" that collides with the middle part, not sure how i am going to do that one..

Here was me end of day last night. This is one of the shins (and one of the arc covers).

No. I'm making the Mk 2 flight test costume from Syrus54's files. I'm doing the prototype boots and arms.

I went to a preview screening on Monday night here in Aus and I wore my IP suit for some media shots before the screening, then changed into some jeans and a new War Machine Tshirt that the fiancee managed to find me last week . Hopefully some shots will be up soon and I can post them!
