Iron man 3 Mk 8 in pepakura - A collaboration work

I initially thinking about something like newer action figures knee setup.
That's why I asked for clarification.

Can it be done like this?

I like that, I also have an Iron man toy and the legs are like that so I will try that method it will hide more and give a better flex

Thank you guys, I feel like I am walking on a treadmill. So much rework, but no progress.Drains my energy and my spirit.

According to my note this is version 4, but I'm sure there are some more trials in between (2a, 2b, 3a, 3b). This is actually 4a.

Still didn't get it right. I am working on the whole leg version 5 now. Hope I can nail it this time. It took me major redrawing on 3D objects, thigh is the most difficult part so far.
Shin v5 and boot v3 didn't match, so probably will do both of the boots again. :cry.

This has been a major set back. Hopefully v5 is a go. All paper template for the leg are ready.

hey guys this is looking gurrd , bit of a bummer tho that you have to keep restarting parts i hope it all goes awsome for you soon guys :) looking forward to seeing the finished product :) btw is the files just for foam or is there going to be pep files to ?

Unfortunately, foam. The way that Mk8 is structured, it'll be difficult to do it over paper build.

ironmanmkviii,
Maybe you know something that I don't. If you know how to make/draw grooved lines, and build and placed the plates together or on top of the other, you might build this over paper. I just can't think of how,or easier way to do it. making a 4mm or 6mm stepalso would be very much troublesome.

IronNeoo,
Thank you, it getting excited again, now that I successfully make the shin.

Here is the shin and knee, I used the old boot still.

I just got an idea of how to make double jointed knee, so I want to give it a try too.

IronShwarma2754,
Thank you.

I made my first double jointed knee, and so far it looks okay, feels okay.
Don't have the thigh yet so I don't know how it really works
I used leftover 2mm corrugated plastic board, 3 stacks, 2 stacks on the knee, on 10mm chicago screws.

Finished making both shins, but not draw the detailed lines yet.

Just found a new spray paint, the color said formica beige.
It is glossy finish, a bit candy tone. The instruction said better result in white undercoat.

I sprayed it over my old C100 (non metallic beige), and the result is astonishing. It tones down the C100, so it's not too yellowish. It gives high reflections, so it matches the candy tone red. I like it, except it is not close to the real color.

This spray paint cost almost twice as regular my spray paint. I think I just do a light coat.

Now doing the thigh

PS: the painted shin is my old shin, not the new ones.

That new shade looks spot-on, to me. Beige is too beige. I would say it'd have to be some candy or some pale, pale gold.

Looking for a Spiderman Super Hero character for hire to attend a birthday party in Sacramento on December 15, 2012. Any recommendations?

Yeah, I'm a programmer, modeler, surveyor, mechanical engineer... Nbd.... ;-) lol
I am building a functional mk 5 in auto desk inventor for 3d printing. My plan is to make a mk5 that ACTUALLY transforms from suitcase to suit. It's all in cyberspace at the moment. I but people are Gonna **** when it happens. :-D
