Iron Man 3 Mark VIII helemt 3D print in hand

This helmet is kind of an odd duck as it does not sit the same as a MarkIII or War Machine. It is a totally different shape and far flatter on the faceplate area. Best I can do for you is a side to side measurement which from outer ear to outer ear is 19.3 cm Just a bit larger than my War Machine helmet.

What are the dimensions of the helmet?

I think a champagne gold would look nice with a dark cherry. I am not for sure what the movie color will look, but that is what it seems to me when looking at the comic con pic of RDJ with the IM hand.

Forgot to post these up before I went out of town.
Still some clean up to do, reprime sand down again and final coat but getting there.

I wasn't a fan of this helmet when I saw it from the Comic-con Display. Seeing it up close in this progress form, it's really growing on me. The Helmet...not the armor. lol

awesome stuff as usual man.

Wow! just wow! I didnt like it so much in the movie but now I've had a chance to look at it in detail in this thread it's awesome!

This is a great helmet!!!! I don't care for the suit, yet. But the helmet has a sinister kind of look to it. Awesome work guys!!!

In a bout 30 years everyone will just print what they want .... and all artists will die ?

This is either a candid display of naivete or a brash attempt to spark a disambiguation of traditional versus digital art.

If you wish to get input or perspective from others on this topic, I suggest that you read up on the threads that can be found here.

I'll chose not to take that personally and just assume your discredit for 3d work as art is due to neglect rather than an actual blatant disregard of talent. I spen well over 20 hours modeling the helmet and I'm sure Clinton is putting a near equal amount of time in as well.

Just because this isn't a sculpt does not lessen the talent, time and effort put in.
