Hmmm. It looks promissing!...

Based on the movie prop from the blockbuster Iron Man 2, using reference from Stan Winston Studios, this is the latest iteration of Tony Stark's "heart," the Arc Reactor. The device supplies energy to an electromagnet, which prevents embedded shrapnel from reaching Tony Stark's heart. No expense was spared to replicate the details exactly, from the machined metal parts and copper wire to the high intensity LEDs. The Arc Reactor measures 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" and is made from machined aluminum, stainless steel, custom molded plastic, Removeable from the stand, the prop includes a plexiglass display case and a full-color Certificate of Authenticity.

ugh. popped in the bluray just now and took a look at the quick sceond when this is on the screen. There is NO cover over the actual reactor.

And I agree... the stand looks more detailed than the reactor, but maybe the innards are more detailed. :thumbsdown

Sorry for the cell phone pic.

I think the cover was so they could attempt to skimp out on the inner details, though I don't think that it has many

Mark 1 is awesome...this however look like a cheap toy IMO. If it looked more like the screen used I would have definitely bought it.

I can see how real IM fans will love this, but the arc from the first film had so much more character...this one seems too futuristic or something..

Of course just my 2 cents

I demand the deleted scene where Tony is carefully crafting the stand and drinking his chlorophyll drink while waiting for the reactor diagnostics from JARVIS.

I consider myself a huge Iron man fan, but I would only buy this reactor if the final product is better than the publicity pic and/or if the price comes down, drastically.

I second this opinion

Ditto, I would also love to see that. As for this..meh, just does not seem to have the same "charm" as the Mark I.

I didn't design the RT, but I did design the stand, and... I designed a whole interior for that RT unit. There was supposed to be a montage of it's assembly. Looks like they burned that trick on whiplash's. I imagine I could show the interior that was never shown.. I will have to see.
