Heard about it, and its pretty nice Idea
But I cant just imagine how expensive that would be :p

10 years ago these types of rapid prototype machines were around 20k. I was hoping someone would know what they are these days. I was really interested in them 10 years ago, but the urethane ones were like 100k and these powder ones were billed as the cheaper alternative for 20ish. Once we're under 3k, we'll talk :)

They are getting cheaper and chaeper. Desktop models are available currently, but I think they start at around 3500. There's a few threads and links around here somewhere . . .

"Four artists, four hours, four concepts".

Rrrriiiiight...

I despise the guy´s unrealistic approach to the turn around times for a project.

Here's mine I'm building- http://multi-bot.blogspot.com

The build area is 6" x 6" x 3" so it's a pretty small desktop machine. The footprint is roughly 11" x 11". It does have the advantage of also being able to do CNC milling as well as 3D printing.

Probably something like SolidWorks. For a free open source modeling program that is cross platform try Blender- it's awesome.

i like the fact you can printo differant materials (or at least they have differant mechanical properties)
