Hey everyone, I thought that I'd post pictures of my IM2 briefcase build. This is a pepakura build based on the image created by Dungbeetle, and if I'm wrong on the designer please correct me.
Here are the images I have so far:

First coat of resin before fglass:

While that cures... I chose to start working on the detail pieces on the non-resined half:

-update 8/7/15-
Although this started out as a Pepakura build, it has now developed into a 3D printed prop. I started off using Pepakura but after experiencing a failure in its construction, I put it on the shelf to be finished one day, now that I have a 3D printer and some skills in rendering, I have made a 3R model that is far more accurate and can be assembled with greater ease and accuracy.

Here is a picture of my Mark III pepakura armor. I started mine before the nice detailed ones came out so I had to do a little custom work on mine, but all the electronics are real including a mic system. I do not remember who's files i used to build this.

This image was taken at my costume's debut at Phoenix Comicon 2010. I have hundreds of build photos as well.

Looks great! Hope to see your suit in person one day too. :)

(BTW, this is Daniel, I'm making my own suit, and we met at the comic store)

This is fantastic! How do you guys print out the files and type of paper do you use, how does this all work?

Can't wait to see more photos! Do you plan to make this a functional, opening case?
I do plan on making this functional, but there will only by about a 1 inch height clearance internally. So whatever goes inside will have to be on the thinner side. I have a couple of older briefcases that I can take parts from to see what works best. If they don't work out, I'll make a visit to ACE hardware and home depot :cool

Looks great. How much time have you put into the briefcase so far?

Putting the pep file together took about 12 man hours.. but that included being distracted by the movies I would put on to act as white noise. It has some detail pieces that take a little time to cut and you have to be careful not to score every tab. Like on the larger flat surfaces, you don't want a seem or a bend because its meant to have a smooth transition one piece to the next, and more work later if it does have one.
