So I was at the thrift store today looking around and I notice this chair. Now like a lot of Trek fans out there, I am always looking for the right Madison chair, or couch, and have never found one. But this chair seemed very familiar, so I took a closer look.
While I don't think that it is a real Madison chair, and obviously the arms are wrong, the seat pan, and back seem to be modeled after the Madison.
The only identification on the chair is a worn paper tag from the Stow/Davis Furniture Co. from Grand Rapids, MI. but no date or other info except for a style # 421.
I am going to take the fabric off, since it would have to be reupholstered, and see if there are any other identifying markings under the fabric.
So what do you TOS Captain's chair specialists think?
Close enough to the real deal to use as a basis for a Captain's chair?
Regardless, as you can see from the last picture, my cat likes it just as it is. :lol
