For the bargain price of........ok there's no bargain in sight, but it sure is pretty:

You can have the Inigo Montoya sword, with which to kill those who killed your father, and should prepare to die. After saying hello.

Paul MacDonald, who also made the Toledo Salamanca in the other thread, made this beauty.

That is absolutely gorgeous. What I want to know is: Is it actually sized/balanced for a six-fingered man? I mean, the site kinda says it is, but I can't tell if it's being cute or what.

But a really amazing piece nonetheless.

I believe they were just being cute.

Beautiful work, but even in the film, that sword just didn't thrill me. Seems too overworked.

I demand to have that sword. But at 1/10 my promised price! If you refuse,
I slash you tru de heart.

Very quotable film...

"INCONCEIVABLE!"
"You keep using dat word. I do nah think it means what you think it means."

"Tyrone, you know how much I love watching you work, but I've got my country's 500th anniversary to plan, my wedding to arrange, my wife to murder and Guilder to frame for it; I'm swamped."

I KNEW some day the folks at the RPF would marvel at the sight of the film I´ve done so long ago alongside Clay Kronke! (yet again).... :)

:confused Er, yeah......I was hoping to focus on the prop angle, and those that were after a sword like this. Would love to discuss the fanfilm in an appropriate thread though, it's fun.

Sorry! I will, however, now have to find a way to snag me one of those swords.... Do you have any idea of its price? I know and expect it to be no bargain whatsoever, but it sure IS a work of art!

Thanks! (and sorry again!)

Hermes!

i told my friend to buy this sword and run through one of his coworkers who said The Princess Bride was a bad film because he didn't "get it."

it's a shame the sword is so expensive, because i think my friend would do it too. =P

The full sword is listed for 1300 POUNDS :confused I believe that's about $2600 these days. But for a handcrafted sword, even a movie replica, that's about on the mark.

Yea I asked Paul about the sword in my interview with him and he said he loves tackling swords never done before. Paul has made some real impressive recreations! I wish I had the money for the Montoya its real sweet looking.
