Ive started working on a "close to screen accurate" version of the Power Stone as seen in the Guardians of the galaxy. It looks as if the stone isnt a typical oval stone. Its more pointy at the ends. Ive made a mold and have been playing around. Im using a clear resin pigmented with purple color. I have some mini led modules to light this stone up!. This is a rough cast and does need to get cleaned up/refined a minor bit, but I think it came out rather nice. Its very hard to photograph due to all the faceted edges.

Um. I'm not sure. Didn't plan on it. We'll see how it turns out when it's finished

The shape is called a marquise cut. Very nice job with the molding. Did you use a 3D-print for the mold?

No, I used a crystal stone my mother in law had hanging in the window of her garden room. LOLOLOL:D

I tried drilling a hole for the LED. Didnt go too well. I have to make a new stone and find a better way

I'm not sure how to do that and I'm not sure that I can. The housing isn't waterproof

I finally got the master stone cut (for the LED) and molded. I cast a tester stone but im having issues with trapped air bubbles. Hopefully ill have something finished tomorrow

This is extremely hard to photograph. The pictures dont do it justice! The LED module is ever so slightly ebedded into the stone. Im still trying to figure out a good depth for the module. Too deep and I get an ugly round circle in the stone. Too shallow and it sticks out too much. Still a work in progress.
