Indiana Jones: and the Last Crusade Christmas

Sorry for this not exactly being a movie replica, but I figured this was the best place to put it.

For Christmas (2012) I made my sister the ultimate movie gift wrapping. I had this idea pop into my head only three days before Christmas and I just had to build it.

The main portion is the box itself which I built from some lumber at my local hardware store. Cut it up, wore it out via sanding, built the box, and then blow torched the **** out of it and sanded it after some stencils were sprayed.

The next thing was the levels of the box or "challenges" that I tried to adapt from the movie to the small box. I think it went well! Take a look at the video!

Thanks guys

:eek

This is the coolest Christmas gift I think I've seen (The box of course). You have the whole movie as an interactive experience in one awesome, handcrafted box! I loved, well, the whole thing! Each step of opening the box was very creative! Very cool!

Love it!

*opens book* "I can't read your writing."
"most it is not important." ...
"Uncle Brad is crazy."

Well done!

Very impressive....
But I don't know what is crazier...

The fact that you constructed all of that in such a short time....
Or....
The fact that you did all that work and the payoff was a sippie cup :lol

Nice job, very entertaining. A lot of thought went into that. She will remember that forever.

But now my wife wants a wine sippy cup! :angry

Best,

Vino2Go is the sippy cup, googlable but I got it from theproductfarm (might be sold out)

I have an even crazier idea for my brother's birthday in a few months... thinking back to the future style. Like make a replica of the time indicator inside the delorean and have a small delorean car auto drive on a track to reveal sections that have like pictures of my brother from the past, and then the ending of the whole thing would be some horrific estimation of what he and his wife would look like when they are old and tons of kids and such.

My sister is use to getting things with so much ducttape you practically have to take a chainsaw to it, so for her this was pleasant. Thanks for liking it though! Share around with friends :)

Edit: Oh yeah, I have some (possibly crappy) cellphone build photos I could share if anyone is interested.

Looks like Hackaday featured this crappy little video! Now I just need to make sure my brother's gift goes above and beyond...
