Question Inbox full when it's not?

I can't receive or send PMs due to it being 'full'. I just deleted about 500 PMs (including all sent PMs) and it now reads:

Inbox contains 1,100 messages. You have 1,255 messages stored, of a total 400 allowed.

Which makes no sense to me. I should only have 1,100 in the inbox and zero elsewhere. How can I have more stored than the allowed limit?

You were a Premium Member so you had a larger PM storage limit. Since you are no longer Premium, your limit has dropped back down to 400.
