I'm modeling a Stormtrooper helmet wich will be for 3d printing. However I want this to be as correct as possible!
Could you point me out on some things I might have missed??
Do keep in mind it's still a work in progress. So some shading anomalies might occur.
You might be best looking at the 501st armour forums and seeing their TK Armor. The armour there has to be 100% Screen accurate in order to get enrolled in the 501st.
I can't see anything you've missed, best of luck!
This is great. The problems I can see is it is too symmetrically perfect and the face appears to be a bit steep.
This is an image I pulled from SketchUp's 3D gallery just for the example.
I would also suggest you visit the 501st site and look at their gallery of reference images as they are very particular about the look of their member's costumes for screen accuracy. My wife and I recently joined and I just bought an AP bucket. My wife's armour comes first, then mine. The idea of a 3D print is excellent (if it can be passed) as some other newbies to the 501st bought another makers armour and are having issues getting parts to fit like the ears.
This is me test wearing a "sandy" bucket. Note the lump on the eye. Apparently they all have to have this imperfection to be passed, especially at level 3 (Centurion). A "shiny" TK bucket also has this lump, but not as obvious. You can see here the eye shapes are different where one is slightly convex and the other is concave.
