In desperate need of help for Warframe Cosplay

Sup guys and girls im in desperate need of help. Me and a friend are planning on going to our local comic con next year him as Rhino and me as Excalibur from Warframe. Problem is he makes awesome costumes (like iron man with working faceplate and lighting good) for a living and my skills are lacking in this department and i dont want to embarrass him with a terrible cosplay and with him busy on commissions and his own Rhino outfit to build he is unable to help me at all.

Any help, pepakura files, links or anything would be greatly appreciated

First thing you want to do is get a look at some really detailed reference pics, like so--



Then you need to think about what build methods A) you already know how to use, and B) you are willing to learn.

This is going to determine how detailed of a build you are going to commit to. I'd be looking to do a latex-skinned muscle suit if I were going to build either of these, along with looking to find a PDO file with some foam templates for the helmet and body armor.

If building a latex suit is out of your skill set or too much work for what you're able to do for this build, you may want to look at getting a full body lycra spandex suit from eBay or Amazon and attaching craft foam to it in a way that simulates the look of Excalibur. Like this--

Thanks dude I'll definitely have a look at that, someone suggested to me maybe use a wetsuit and add some detail to it what do you reckon?

Wetsuits look nicer than lycra, but I understand you get pretty sweaty in them. I may be wrong. If you can take the heat and sweat, or if it's not an issue, then you could go that route. I also got the model for Excalibur, and was going to try to simplify the model to unfold for Pepakura, but it appears none of the files will import into Maya. So that didn't work out too well.

Aww noo that sucks. Should be able to withstand the heat of a wetsuit (grew up in Cyprus so I'm used to the heat)

If you're still playing the game, go into the captura mode, you can get a really good look at all parts from every angle. I am hoping to start my first crafting attempt by trying to do some of the weapons and the captura mode really made it easy to see all the details in the weapons! Good Luck!
