Does anyone have a suggestion on what was used for the originals and know where to get some either identical to them or something even close to it?

Project boxes, like the Hammond 1590 ones? What's the correct size for an Imp. Tech belt?

No, not project boxes, but they are pretty close. Hmmm . . . any other thoughts?

They are metal project boxes. They just don't make them like that anymore.

Those boxes are used all over ANH.
