I'm working on a whole suit in foam (isn't everyone???) but decided to fibreglass and filler the helmet.
I've not seen many Mark 5 helms on here so I thought I would share.
Will probably post suit progress, but it's very slow.
I started with Sharkhead's files but it slumped at the fibreglass stage so I completed in Das clay and cast in Easyflo. This then slumped (think I'm being a bit mean with the silicone) so I ended up fillering anyway.
If I had just gone straight to the car body filler would have been much quicker, but I'm happy enough with the results.
It is a bit wider on the cheekbones than in IM2, but I like the look. I'm planning to light the eyes but not open the visor. I used the opening at the back method.
