Ignored users

Is there anyway to completely do away with any info related to users you have on ignore?
I notice that even when someone is on ignore, you can still see when they post. Is there anyway to do away with all signs of them? I know the ignore function and the way it works should be enough, but some people I just don't want to know even exist.

I agree - it is impossible to ignore someone when the RPF tells you - oh so and so just posted in your thread, but you can't read it. Or Someone just PM'ed you, but you can't read it.

Also if somebody quotes them, you can see it anyway. It's a nice feature in theory, but poorly executed :/

I will never understand the need for an ignore feature. There are few people who's posts I ignore, but I do it without the "feature".
