IC Yoda Repair or Replacement

I have an IC Yoda that I really love for itself...not as an investment. The head is cracked beyond simple repair or Johnsons Baby Oil. The rest of him is just fine. Spoke with IC who would not repair but would replace for $800. Not possible. I have family who are technicians on Broadway who said they couldn't do it. I even thought about 3D printing one if the price was reasonable. Help would be appreciated. As you can see from my avatar (it was an editorial cartoon about me 20 years ago) I really like the character.
