I have to show this thing off. Nick Marra Studios did a life size silicone Magneto for me, and it's unreal! I mean it's real! I mean just look because you can't tell if it's real. LOL

Nick's work is unparalleled. Honestly one of the best likeness sculptors of our lifetime. Phenomenal piece and many congratulations!

I've seen 1 or 2 full scale McKellens done in the past but none were accurate. This thing is just sick!

Amazing work. Ian's Magneto is one of my favorite characters. Nailed it.

Look at that grimace. Perfect!

And that helmet is NIIIIIIIIICE. I desperately covet it.

He did a great job on the helmet. It's almost as nice as the sculpt, and probably harder to get right. He took his time on everything and is pretty anal about details, which I'm sure you can see.

Yeah, I've been meaning to sculpt that helmet myself for a few years but never got to it. He really nailed all the subtle angles on that thing. Really subtle stuff going on there. Deceptively so.

Really great likeness captured here. I'm also gonna echo Nick Daring above and, after my DOFP sculpt, I'm hankering to finally tackle this helmet myself.

My main suggestion would be to paint it with a satin finish on the next one. Shows the forms better and is more screen accurate.

The slightly weathered /mottled paintjob would be interesting to see if could be replicated too.

I'll be honest...when I saw the photos on post #1 and scanned the summary of your excitement, I thought that
was your helmet and you had met Ian and he was wearing it.

that is amazingly real.

Did that guy also sculpt the full 1:1 Ledger joker seen on the forum?

We know that, and discussed all options, but I wanted a glossy version for my own collection. Technically, the helmet still isn't 100% finished but the whole ensemble is too cool to not show off, even if it's not done.

I figured the gloss finish was a conscious choice. Looks great either way.

I also can't wait to see one done in the X2 color scheme.

Such a great job!

Are you planning on building a full figure, bust or leave it as just a head?

Full scale! The costume should be done pretty soon

Raaaaad.

Do you already have the official Magneto collar pin? I thin they were even produced by the same jeweler that did them for the film.
