I want to make a giant check for a present

Only problem is there aren't many giant check files floating around for me to use or modify.

Any chance anyone on here has one they would be willing to share? There are websites dedicated to making large checks so I may have to go that route.

Thanks

Chris

I want to make it a realistic amount like 20K and he'll know instantly he's not getting it. But he had a fully funded, debt free college education in California! That was 20K+ at least.

Funny you should mention this. At work today, we just printed a giant check for the Wells Fargo golf tournament this weekend. Its not super detailed, but it might work. If this is OK, let me know and I'll send the full size pdf. Its roughly 36"x15".

Be very careful. A giant check can still be a legitimate check. I've actually written checks on pieces of printer paper before. As long as it has everything required by law, it's a genuine check.

maybe add a disclaimer way down in the corner on the check that says its not legal tender or what ever...

Totally correct. One guy wrote out a check to the IRS on a T-Shirt, signifying the shirt off his back-they cashed it with no problem. As long as the bank name, Debtor name, address, and signature, account number and preferably routing number, and the amount written in numbers and printed in words, anything, even a napkin can be legally used as a check.

However it's a myth that banks must accept a cheque/check no matter what it's written on. They can quite legally refuse.

Remember if you search Google, also look for cheque. It's how the rest of the world spells it.

Nope, here in Germany we spell it "Scheck" :p And they are going out of style quite rapidly.

I moved this thread to the Paper prop section btw, since it definitely is a paper prop ;)

That's right, I haven't seen a check in years. Actually it's an obsolete way to pay.

Huge shout out to BornKIlr for sending me the giant check, in vector format no less, so very scalable!
Thanks man

Chris
