I need some leather boot help!!

So here is my question.

Looking to purchase these boots for a costume. The companys logo/image is raised on the leather on the front of the boot. Based on the website pics, the logo runs from the top front down to around the crease for the ankle.

What would be the best way to cover that up?

We can't see the logo so how can we advise?

Piece of tape?

Glue vinyl/leather overtop?

Remove/replace piece?

How about make a mold, then make a latex slip to cover it?
