I need help with working spear

I know many members have made working spears using umbrellas but i can find a tutorial on it, sorry if their is in a different section but im still not used to the new layout of the layer anyway does anyone have a tutorial for a retractable spear using an umbrella

so bassically the curled handle i cut off, but left the button part alone, then heated up and melted together the 2 ends and voila! done....
