I have a dream!!!!

Oh, also, so everyone knows...the Raptor will not be coming with figures. Figures are being made for the kit (Boomer and Helo. :) ) but some folks asked me to try and keep the price down and not include them with the kit...so they will be offered seperatly to those who want them.

Hey Jesse ...

ok .. guess I need to spend more money then ....

Any idea on a pricetag, and do you have some pictures of the figures?

Cheers
Niels

Not sure on price yet...and no pictures yet either. The sculptor is the same artist who did the TOS figures for me, but he is having computer issues and can't send pictures right now. Hopefully soon.

JDH as straight man...thank you JDH. :)

Couple last shots of tings I hadnt taken pictures of....

First..some shots of the resin canopy frame and the vac plug insert. This part will be the toughest part of the model I think. The frame is very thin and delicate. The insert will need to be cut down to fit inside the frame...then the whole thing can be glued on. I thought about making a vacform canopy without the seperate frame, but I may end up making mine without the glass insert, and wanted that to be an option.

Im not working with anyone on that...but if someone would like to help I'd love to hear from them. I set it up to be lit...the tip lights are all cast clear...as are the interior pieces....the other body lights would be easy to do with fibers...but to add the blink patterns and everything else...well, it's beyound my skills, but I'd love for someone to take the challange.

We have a lighting genius in out Sci-fi modelers club. He is a great help and usually gives the "design work" away. A week from monday a bunch of us are getting together to assembe our Refit Enterprise strobe/blinkie circuit boards. I guess I could bring it up there.

But there are a lot of talented people out there who could help.

Jesse, the Canopy looks awesome.

And I think it great that you give the builder the oportunity to build with or without the clea part.

Cheers

Why not just do the entire canopy as a vac formed clear styrene piece and not the multi part resin/vacform. I understand it from a personal stand point, but for a kit it would save a lot of us modelers headaches of snapping the thin frame and then having to get a replacement.

Either way its still looking sweeeeeet.

"I know the windows in the CGI model are virtually BLACK"

Hey hey, we'll have none of this :)
The windows on the CGI model were very clear and not black at all, I'm a HUGE fan of building interiors and connecting the exterior CGI models to the interior sets.  So ALL the ships had interiors and pilots that moved etc.. :)  If the interior ever came across as black it's cus it's space.

I prefer the two part. Vaccuum form frames never look good.
