He's a great guy...amazing work....Your stuff is amazing too though Wolvster...don't be modest. (now...if only I had talent. ;) )

Jesse,
This is TRULY exceptional.. What a fantastic job you have done. Your sweat and time is definitely paying off. The details are incredible, and you have captured this ship perfectly. I am so impressed with all you guys (Frank/Moe, Kip, Coby and Jesse) putting together these models that were only CGI, and realizing them into real, awesome physical models.

Great Job, and keep it up....

The patterning is being done by John Moscoto. You should see his F1 models. He machines alluminum engine blocks and makes the bodies out of carbon fiber. It insane.

The speed at which John is making the patterns with this quality is freightening.

This, sir, is a work of art... no doubt. It's beautiful. I'm looking forward to showing mom (she's an artist, like me and is consistantly wowed by the work of those on the RPF).

Im really glad to see everyone is as excitied as I am about this. Personally, I can't wait to see some finished birds out there.

Thanks for all the kind words...John M is an amazing artist (and a member here under Captain America) Cobywan, and many others have been key to making this happen..and still more friends will be called on before she is done. Next up...decals...need all those screens and placards. (oh the hours I spend screen capturing details...I know the ship like my own house by now. ) :)

I know how that feels. But I am amazed that I can still find details on the Galactica that I never knew existed.

Well,

I must admit, when you first started this, I thought, man, this is kinda crappy
looking. Man, was that a mistake. That has to be one of the BEST modelling jobs
I have ever seen. You have nailed that thing DEAD ON. I didn't really care for it
on the show but your model has changed my mind. Can I now say GREAT JOB.

Sorry I doubted this project. You have true talent sir. Amazing. :D

LOL...I thought it looked a little suspect when Captain America started on it as well..but John (Captain)...well...I learned a long time ago that John is one of the most talanted people I shall ever meet. Glad he changed your mind around...(I knew he would change mine. )

Next step...mold the bugger.

Most projects look like **** in the initial phase. I remember thinking to myself that the Raptor looked like a @#$%. bullfrog for the first 2-3 weeks, when just the cabin and lateral pontoons were fleshed-out; nothing like what it should.

My safety net was my meticulous measurements, which I kept checking and re-checking to ensure that all parts were the size & shape they needed to be; give or take a little tweaking. Eventually, as more components get fleshed-out, it starts to look like what it should.

There are actually a lot of tiny little parts that I haven't photographed, simply because I prefer not to mock-up the patterns for fear of damaging or breaking them; namely the external antennas/sensors and some tiny bits in the cockpit, but rest assured that they're all there :love
