Most projects look like **** in the initial phase. I remember thinking to myself that the Raptor looked like a @#$%. bullfrog for the first 2-3 weeks, when just the cabin and lateral pontoons were fleshed-out; nothing like what it should.
My safety net was my meticulous measurements, which I kept checking and re-checking to ensure that all parts were the size & shape they needed to be; give or take a little tweaking. Eventually, as more components get fleshed-out, it starts to look like what it should.
There are actually a lot of tiny little parts that I haven't photographed, simply because I prefer not to mock-up the patterns for fear of damaging or breaking them; namely the external antennas/sensors and some tiny bits in the cockpit, but rest assured that they're all there :love
