I'm sorry for posting another Portal Gun thread, I know this has been done to death already, but I have always wanted to make one ever since seeing Volpin's build so long ago. I never seemed to have the cash available When ThrowingChicken put up his awesome kits, and when I tried getting one of the Neca replicas, well, I don't want to go there. I decided to build one for myself, even though Portal guns are like Iron Man threads, there are just so many! I didn't want to bore everyone with a build thread because I didn't do anything that hasn't already been well documented by more experienced builders than myself. I have a few minor tweaks yet to do, like the little cages where the hoses attach, and I'm looking for a source for the decals. There are a lot of things I'm unhappy with on this build, like the shells and the claws, but I guess that's how we learn. The electronics is the kit sold by Crix, a member here on the RPF. It's a great kit with full sound effects and great lighting. Here are a few pics of the gun, and a quick Youtube video for the sake of the sound effects. I hope you like it !
