Hypo Kit by Trekpropguy

Hi. Being a newer member I don't as of yet have privileges to post this in the proper forum so I'm going to post here.

I was wondering if anyone here who has purchased the Hypo spray kit from Trekpropguy has received their kit as of yet. These kits were advertised as "complete", and rather get into the details of my regrettable experience with this purchase thus far, I thought it best to maybe get some feedback from people who have received theirs.

Thank you,

Steve

I ordered and paid for mine 9-16-2010 and to date, received nothing.

I will say that for about a week we emailed each other about some possible
changes he could make so that should have been the only delay.

I ended up filing a chargeback with Amex and adding him to my "never buy from"
list. I guess I should stick with reputable sellers.

Got mine on 1st October.

Oh!pEnions: My second real Star Trek Prop

There are three kits that I have yet to ship, I apologize for the delay in these.
I have recently bought a new barbershop (I am a barber by trade, propmaking is a hobby)
So I've let me priorities lapse as I have been spending days off and weekends working on the shop (flooring, painting etc)
Your kits will be shipped in a day or two, all I can do is apologize. I will provide tracking numbers for all kits that are awaiting to ship. Please know that all pieces for your kit are at my house, and I just need to find the time to take them down to the post office.
I'm sorry and I feel terrible for letting this lapse this long, it was never my intention to be 'one of those prop makers'

I just want to make everyone aware that I'm not the only person dealing with this seller who hasen't received their items. As of yesterday TrekpropGuy publicaly stated that he refunded my paypal account. No such refund was given and my transaction with Cody B.[EDITED FOR PRIVACY REASONS] is still "complete"

I'm not writing this to cause any more trouble for Mr. B[EDITED FOR PRIVACY REASONS], but I think it's very important this community as a whole be kept aware of dishonest sellers. Sad thing is, his reputation can be redemed if he either refunds the people he accepted money from, or send s out the kits. You'd be suprised at how far a few kind words from a happy costumer will go in patching a soiled reputation.

I reiterate my request to be refunded.

I filed a chargeback through American Express but since the "merchant bank" was PayPal, Amex will simply chargeback PayPal who will in turn debit Cody's account. Cody told me he could do nothing to expedite this but that is a fallacy. He merely has to issue a refund through PayPal and when PayPal receives the chargeback, they will reply to Amex that a refund was issued. The chargeback will then be revoked by Amex.

This might be Cody's first pony ride but it isn't mine.

Dear asparagus64, or Steve C[EDITED FOR PRIVACY ISSUES].
Your refund went through last week.
As it was a credit card chargeback, it went onto your credit card, not your paypal balance. You send me emails almost hourly harassing me about it not showing up in your paypal balance. IT WILL NOT SHOW UP THERE. It will put the money back on your credit card.
I have sent you numerous copies of emails from paypal stating that the credit has gone back on your card, yet you seem to ignore them and post more ignorant messages on messageboards trying to gather the masses against me.
Everyone who has received their kit is extremely happy with it, and those who haven't received it will do next week, as I am posting them all express, and sending tracking numbers.
Also, thank you for the insulting email I just received from you, I think it's funny that you noticed that my last name [EDITED FOR PRIVACY ISSUES] fits in the word [EDITED FOR LANGUAGE]. Well done on that one sir, you're a true genius.

and David, paypal has taken the money out of my account pending your chargeback. I have closed the dispute and accepted liability. It is out my hands now.

No problem. I'm still sending you your kit regardless. Accept it as a sincere apology from me.

This, right here, is rather amazing.

A refund, and a prop kit sent anyways? And this guy is getting harassed? Abit unfair, I'd say. (That's not directed at the person getting both the refund and the prop)

While paying for these sort of things can be a shot in the dark sometimes, personally, I've always thought having abit of patience, along with knowing what you can do if you feel you're being screwed (either deliberately, or accidentally), is usually the safest bet.

And the saga continues.... I just got off the phone with both AMEX and Paypal and both have informed me that no charge back to my card has been issued as of yet. And my reference to your name being [EDITED FOR PRIVACY REASONS] was the result of your two anger filled, insulting, vulgarity laced, e-mails you sent me. What I meant by [EDITED FOR PRIVACY REASONS] isn't important at this point, but I can assure you the connotation you had in mind is completely inaccurate. You've already been ejected from one community because of your disrespectful and outlandish behavior, and now here, you're making quite a name and reputation for yourself as well.

I've never made claim to be the sharpest guy in the world, all I know is what AMEX and Paypal tell me. And they tell me my card nor my paypal have been credited to the amount of 68 dollars. I will keep this thread informed as to the outcome of this dispute, as I will no doubt pursue this to it's finale conclusion.

Maybe the both of you should keep your internal discussions to yourselves, but leave any additional information about the dispute here. If you're working on it, fine, but neither of you need to slash about here, makes you BOTH look bad, and so far, he's already working on it, I'd give it a few days, never know, there may be some things to be processed, who knows, I sure don't work for any sort of credit companies. But when I've gotten returns with online purchases, it does take a while. But then, I'm an optimist, but no, not naive.

Here is the email I received from paypal notifying me of the chargeback. The money has been taken out of my paypal balance.
Please note that I sent a copy of this email to Steve several times, but he keeps acting as if he never received it.

Hello Cody B[...],

Recently, you were notified that PayPal received a chargeback from a
buyer's card issuer. The buyer claimed they never received the item.
Details of this transaction are as follows:

Buyer Name: Steven C[...]
Buyer Email: [EDITED FOR PRIVACY REASONS]
Case ID: [EDITED FOR PRIVACY REASONS]
Amount: $66.44 USD of $68.00 USD
Transaction Date: Sep 21, 2010
Your Transaction ID: [EDITED FOR PRIVACY REASONS]
Buyer's Transaction ID: [EDITED FOR PRIVACY REASONS]

After careful consideration of the evidence provided by you and the buyer
in the case referenced above, we have determined that you are liable for
the chargeback amount. The amount of the above-referenced transaction has
been debited from your PayPal account.

PayPal has been charged a fee from the buyer's card issuer, and a result we
have had to assess your PayPal account a chargeback settlement fee of
$10.00 USD.

If you have not already received your merchandise from the buyer and would
like the merchandise returned to you, we encourage you to contact the buyer
directly to arrange for the return of the merchandise.

If this reversal has made your account balance negative, you can reimburse
PayPal by adding funds to your account, or by sending a check to the
following address:

PayPal
Attn: Accounting Department
P.O. Box 45950
Omaha, NE 68145-0950

To be blunt, maybe you should just butt out.

It is none of your business how asparagus is handling things.

For your info. The seller has been banned from one prop-board for his behaviour.
