HVLP to spray EVA w/Diluted M.P.

Hello all! I tried to search both Google and the site for an answer, and came up with similar instances through Google, but nothing specific to my question so I am asking the costuming and prop making masses for their input and experience.

I've seen it as a generally accepted "best bet" to apply layers of water diluted Modge Podge to EVA foam prior to painting to seal the foam and give better adhesion to the paint.

What I am looking for is if anyone has experience with spraying this thinned solution with an HVLP style spray gun as used in the automotive industry?

If so, specifically I am wondering about mix ratios, coat count, and possibly what pressure you spray at. I'm thinking it may take more layers if I thin it enough to spray but I'm fine with that.

If nobody has experience with this I will make a tutorial myself as I experiment and contribute my findings to the community for any others who have had the thought to try it but haven't yet for one reason or another.

Thanks folks, and happy making!
