yeah, I know, piece of crap, but it's a placeholder until I get a better one from carlart or someone else

I'm nt sure how I'll attach it, but I'll figure it out eventually ;)

and it's supposed to be silver with copper, but the clearcoat washed out the silver into more of a grey/white color.

the copper didn't come out right because the humidity was goign all over the charts today... I still think it looks good.

I figure the "splash" will be covered by the dreads, so I didn't worry.

originally the copper was a clear orange water reservoir and the silver was a black plastic frame... I split the black part and painted them seperately.

What I would do, is cut out a piece of duct tape to the same shape as the "splash" logo, and spray it silver.

Don't take chances with your costume, otherwise it's going to look REALLY cheap.

If it'll improve the look of the part, then I'll try to fix it up. :)

What about electrical tape? It would keep the smooth finish where duct tape would kinda be textured.....

Aside from the "splash" thing.... how did it turn out?

I agree, gotta cover up the Splash part somehow. Maybe just use model putty and fill it in, then sand it smooth to hide it and paint over it. If it's going to be used as a shoulder cannon, then also remove the trigger and trigger guard.

As far as the gauntlets, like the others have said.....you have to repaint them to make them look more like Pred gauntlets.

the cardboard gaunts were tests. I have plans for the final set and they will be repainted into a pred-like color scheme.

Once I can bug a friend of mine, I'll dremel the trigger and guard down and fiz the splash part.

I'll take it apart again, as I'm gonna have to redo one side of the silver.... clearcoat turned the otehr side of the gun into a grey/white instead of the chrome I was aiming for.

I'm also going to weather this thing a bit....

IT'S HERE!!!!!!!!!11!1!!!!!

my celtic showed today and it's a piece of beauty to me....

It's missing the two "tusks" on either side of the nose, but I don't care... it's still awesome!!

it fits my mask like it was made for it. It'll even stay on.... but I have to tip my head up for it.... I'm goign to hit hobby lobby and get some of the strong matgnets to attach this thing.

and now the pics:

I'll suit up in my temporary armor and the completed parts later today for the Lair to see..... All I need is gaunts, legs, and shinguards then I'll call it done.

A major thanks to kithunter.... you and your good karma rock, bro.

This thing is also a bit bigger than what I was expecting...... I hope I'm not going to look like a bobble-head.

patience, my friend.... this evening I'll suit up when the neighborhood quiets down and get some pics outside...

sadly, the helemt improves my visibility when wearing everything..... I htink because the light doesn't shine through the mask with the bio on....

next on the list: magnets and lasers

lmao

someone with no patience is tellin me to be patient?

the suit-up pics will have to be post-poned.... I just discovered that the slit in the back of the mask is growing.... it's almost to the bottom of the dread-line now...

Once I get that little problem figured out, I'll get the new pics.... and I just might have everything else finished by then, too....

I used a hole punch at the end of the "cut line" to keep the line from growing, plus I added velcro to the bottom side of the neck to keep the mask in position better.

-I have a big noggin and had to make my line travel all the way up to the dreads anyway
