HUGE UPDATE!Kino's Screen-accurate ASM 2 DYE SUB Pattern and Suit BUILD.

Thanks man. :-D will post more updates as I progress
Welcome.

Since you're thinking of trying other colors, here's a heads up on a red lycra you might consider sourcing to print onto. It's the fabric used in MrBibou's project, a very deep and slightly shiny red that's quite similar to the base fabric the ASM2 suits were printed onto (much moreso than a standard primary red lycra).
Popeline de coton Lycra rouge - Avenue des Tissus

The distributor is in France.

Dang, I've been following this thread and at the first glance at your pattern, I knew It would soon become one if not the best out there..
When I saw the pic on the colored fabric, I could only think of one thing : man, this would look so epic with the fabric I used for my suit.
And obviously, Luna thaught this too but I wouldn't expect less of him ;)
I'd love to see this printed on some dark red lycra as I used, I might even consider doing a TASM2 build if it ends up that pretty.
Excellent work mate, can't wait to see the progress.

I was rethinking about this build the other day and it made me consider to make a new Spider-Man suit.
I love my comic suit but it has a few flaws, the webbing beeing inconsistant and the suit having a lot of wrinkles because of the pattern, especially in the boots area.
As I actually find the webbing design from TASM2 suit very dynamic and original (though it doesn't really look like a spider web that much), I was considering making a hybrid suit, using TASM2 pattern but featuring the classic spiders design from the comics.

That's why I come to you, I wanted to know if you think you would make your pattern available later ?
I won't need it to print the suit but to use it as the base to make that suit the same way I did my comic suit.
I won't even need colors on it, just the outlines of the pattern, the webbing and eventually the brick pattern so I can see the direction they go to freehand puffy paint them.
I plan to use the same lycra I used for my comic suit and this whole build is starting to grow on me the more I talk about it.

Do you think it would be available some day ?

Your red lycra + oracle blue lycra ,brick pattern = is perrfect for a ams2 suit

Ok so I was Really busy leading up to the days before the ASM2 premiere. Working on 3 suits at once is not a walk in park. But Thankfully, Iv'e finished my suit! It was done earlier than expected. I still want to build another version where I will use the scarlett red fabric that MrBibou used in his comic spider-man build. I think It;s much more closer to screen accuracy as ZachLuna/Lunaman suggested. I still have to order it online though. But in the meantime, here is are the pics during my Build.

I mixed in 60% black tulip and 40% metallic silver to achieve the gun metal shade of webbing

I decided to puffy paint the bricks using black tulip

I had my buddy who has experience in 3d modelling make me a 3d printer-ready file for the webshooters,. He sent me this Progress pic

I will soon have this printed. My buddy who has the 3d printer ran out of ABS plastic. hope he restocks soon.

I decided to attach my canvas shoes permanently to the suit using Contact cement. Here is how I did it

Applied a thin layer of contact cement to the bottom of the shoe as well as the insides of the excess fabric of the print

I made some makeshift soles with the web pattern. I etched the details using soldering iron. It was attached to the bottom via contact cement

BTW, here are some photos of my Print on white lycra

this is another version where my client requested the muscle shading removed

I think I still need to modify the colors just a little bit. Make it just a tad bit more darker and a bit more ":burgund-ish". anyway, these are just prototype prints. I'll post a build using the standard print on white fabric method after the ASM premiere. :)

I'd be glad to help you out on your build but I really wouldn't want to sell my pattern only. I would prefer I print it myself and sell the print or you could send me some fabric and I;ll have my pattern printed on it. Not that I don't trust you, but I promised my buddy who helped me out with the studio used vector files that I would not release it for sale . I hope you understand man.

So without further ado, here is my 95% finished ASM2 suit printed on Red and Blue 4-ways stretch Fabric. (It's still missing the webshooters and I'm still waiting for the ASM2 lenses I ordered from TJack. These are just homemade frames I made using Sintra board and vacuformed plastic) I did a test run on a local convention here.

Gotta save the world, but first lemme take a selfie

and Hail Hydra. :p

This is looking really great !
I totally understand mate.
Thank you for offering to print it for me, it's just that I don't have enough funds to do it, that the main reason with I build my first suit from scratch.
The ASM2 pattern and webbing is what intricate me and you have the most accurate one I've seen.
Guess I'll have to put my definitive Spidey suit project on hold for a bit :)
If one day you're willing to let it go, make sure to contact me as I sure want to try to make my hybrid suit one day, maybe trade for my comic suit if you are interested.
Can't wait to see how it will come along once sewed.

EDIT :

By the time I wrote this message you already posted the pics and boy, it's the best replica I've seen, and I've seen a LOT..
Can't wait to see how it would look with the fabric I used, it would definitely be the supreme replica..
