Howlrunner's Prop Collection

We bought a new flat last year and one of the stipulations was that there HAD to be a room that I could have to house my prop collection. Once we got one, I went nuts at IKEA and stocked up on Detolfs.... :lol

As you can see, my prop and movie tastes are ALL over the place. There are also a lot of work in progress pieces dotted throughout that are either unfinished or are completely untouched - I'd rather have them out on display than hidden away until I finally get around to working on them. I've been holding off on posting up photos until I got more of the WIP pieces finished, but as I just keep getting more projects to work on, the room/display is pretty much going to be an ongoing, ever changing entity in itself and I thought I'd just jump in and post some up.

Any questions about any of the pieces, or if you'd like to see better pictures of anything (my camera's batteries died as I was taking these, so there are no close ups), just let me know. :D

Enough talk, on with the pics!

That's a nice collection. It looks like it takes up a lot of room with all the larger pieces.

Fantastic collection and organization :)

How did you hang your Mystic head? I have been trying to figure out how to display mine here.

The Mystic head - I used Milliput to secure a piece of garden wire going from the left inside side to the right inside side. Then it's just a normal picture hook attached to the wall and the head is hung up just like hanging a picture frame. It is fiddly when you are hanging him though, as the wire needs to be just the right length so that it is not visible above the top of the head when it's hung - this makes it tricky to actually hook it onto the picture hook, but it can be done.

Oh.... Your head is hollow? The one I bought from him was foam filled. That changes things a bit :lol

"the room/display is pretty much going to be an ongoing, ever changing entity in itself" , I like the sound of that! Is that THE pink car Gizmo drives around in, in the first Gremlins?

Great collection all together.

The pink car, while not the actual movie prop, is the exact same make and model of vintage Barbie Dreamvette that Gizmo drives in the 1st movie, yes.

And here's a couple of better quality pics showing things a bit more close up.
