Hi All,

After finishing the Alien, i was real anxious to get started on this,

Its far from finished but i thought id post some progress pics so i can take the critique on board and use the info to improve the bust as i go.

the eyes are only taped in at the moment but let me know what you think and what it needs to improve it.

I like it, I like it a lot but I would like it even more if you gave the skin some moisture to bring it alive, especially around the mouth.

The paint application is absolutely fantastic, but I do agree about the mouth. You should make it look really slimy, it would really bring it to life. You can do it with a couple of quick coats of future floor wax. It would give it a really wet look.

There's also a way to add "drool" using 5 minute epoxy and a toothpick. Mix up some epoxy and let it set for a minute. Then add some to a point at the top of the mouth or between teeth. Then use a toothpick to string it out to a different point (however you think the drool would look best). It dries in five minutes and dries crystal clear. I might be able to post a pic later on tonight of an SG-1 Unas I painted a while back and did something similar with his mouth. Looks really cool.

I thought the giraffe spots covered the entire top of the head?

they do, I wanted to follow the scheme for the original predator but as i was going, i kind of let it go its own way, this way its not the same as everyone elses.

as for the drool. Im going to paint the inside of the mouth with clear silicone, that way ill get the wet look and drool all in one.

When you add wet look around the mouth, it'll be absolutely astonishing, it looks incredible as is already!
