How to strip paint off mask?

Hi guys-

I'm a new member- been reading around and about to start an on-going build. I have come into possession of a badly painted P1 latex mask- can someone please advise the best way to strip the paint from it giving me a "clean" mask to start my own color scheme?

Have no idea what paint was used as the mask was found at a boot sale.

Hello! Has the mask been sealed? If not and there is chip paint, try 99% rubbing alcohol. Firendly advise given to me by ptgreek, and it worked. Hope this helps.
