How to go about reinforcing helmets?

Hi,

I was poking around trying to find out some information about various ways to go about reinforcing a helmet.

I purchased this

with the intention of fixing it up. The shape and size seem to be fairly good for the price, but the thing is really flimsy and made of thin stuff. Does anyone have good suggestions on how to reinforce it from the inside?

You could always try some resin and fiberglass cloth, but I'm not sure how well it would stick. What is it made of?

What materials would you say are ideal for use with fiberglass resin? Thanks!

Pretty sure that would be a vinyl plastic, FG resin would eat it in no time. Fill it with flex foam or if your not going to mold whatever you build expand a balloon in it till your done. Not that great of a base to start with though IMO.
