How to attach hard acrylic to a latex mask?

As posted elsewhere, my APES costume is ready for the hunt. I've had to cut the mouth slightly to allow me to breathe and want to attach a set of acrylic teeth to the inside lower lip of the latex mask so that if the jaw flexes, they will just be seen. However, what is the best adhesive for this? I'm not too knowledgable in this area, so do I need a rubber based glue, and if so, what brand? Cheers all.

I work with latex masks a lot, have a pretty good collection so I'm used to them. For this, you can use a few things, hot glue would work great, and is the easiest thing, liquid latex is also a good way to go, latex bonds to itself real good, I've installed zippers in masks just using that method. Rubber cement is another option too. You just wanna avoid anything that drys brittle, or has ANY oil in it.

I remember my old original POTA mask from the 70's has it's teeth attached with spirit gum. The way I found out was I was checking out how they were attached and pulled the teeth off.

I took it back to where I bought it (the famous Stoners Magic Shop downtown Fort Wayne) and Mr. Stoner himself reattached the teeth with spirit gum. Rock solid after that.

Damn dirty ape!

Looks real good from what I can see. That's gonna be a hit wherever you go.

I'd go with plain old superglue- It shouldn't need to flex any since a real animal's teeth would be anchored in a rigid jawbone. :)

superglue gel will work, if you do a few spots rather that a complete line, the flex wont be a problem
