Ouch. I guess it's not like a DP.

No, imo, it's better.

IIRC Altmann's are no longer trading, so you'll have to get one on the secondary marker..

Someone please correct me if wrong.

There are a few very nice alternatives out there as well.

I've actually got one from before he was licensed.

Think I bought it from him for about 80 bucks Australian.

It currently resides beside a DP Vader, my own Tusken, a pre licensed Altmann Stormtrooper, a Rubies Jango and a Cyberman voicechanger helmet.

I've always believed his stuff was MUCH better before he got the license and LFL "frigged" around with the designs

I actually found one of these packed away in storage yesterday that I didn't even know I had. It's was still sealed in the original Altmann box with that horrible packing foam.

I had one of my own that I displayed and then sold, so this one was a bit of a shocker. It's been sealed away for over a decade and is 100% pristine and new. It's like breaking into a time capsule.

:eek

WOW. Thats awsome. PICS!!!

IMO The Altmanns is a great lid, but not as good as the MLC V3. For about the same coin. Although the MLC is unpainted...

Altmann has sold all of his moulds, the new owner is in the process of upgrading some moulds. The Biker scout is one of his better helmets and became quite famous. IIRC, I believe LFL sent him a few helmets to copy so he recast them, but some were never used, but don't quote me on that.

And his Boushh is to die for, maybe I'm biased, as I own one :lol

Dead on DarthBish. I had many of his pre-LFL props and they were way better. He had to completely hose his Vader, Stormtrooper and TIE helmets as not to "compete" with Don Post back then. He told me that the reason he didn't have to mess up the Scout, Royal Guard or Boush was that they weren't "iconic" to Don Post.

Does anyone have pics of the Altmann Boushh?

I've never seen one.

Here ya go....

The helmet, armour and bandolier were mildly modded by me, but it's an Altmanns.

Cheers,

Kraig
