How groovy is the Korben Dallas blaster?

I'm thinking about buying a Fifth Element Korben Dallas blaster from Hollywood Collectibles Group and would like to know how you like yours and maybe share some photos? And from what I've read in the past there was a problem with the electronics but they were fixed, correct? Thanks.

I have one of the problem ones but I fixed the battery problem and it is very nice. I dont have the plaque or stand but the blaster itself is VERY NICE.

If you can find one of the battery problem ones buy it cheap and it cost about $3 to fix the problem and maybe 15 mins.

I wanted that gun forever and finally ended up getting one with the corrected electronics for a nice price.

However, once it was in my hands, there was just something about it that didn't sit well with me. I suppose it is the fact that it looks more like a nice toy than a replica prop. I was hoping that someone would offer up some metal upgrade pieces, but it never happened, so I sold it.

Metal upgrades are out there, but I have no idea where. I got a kit gun (awful recast I think) that had metal upgrades.

Got mine and love it! :)

Can't say enough good stuff about HCG... for those guys to acknowledge the battery problem, and then send out FREE replacements... now that is service sir. :thumbsup

Yes it is a bit disappointing that the piece has no metal. Still, for the price and what you do get, I think it's pretty darn neat. :cool

Yeah, echo what phasepistol said. For the money, and seeing as how there's nothing else out there, it's a good piece.

That may sound like a harsh review, and it probably shouldn't. I'm just very detail crazy when it comes to props in general, and even MORESO with this one. for what it is, it's nice. But is it a high quality replica? no. Is it an affordable replica that the casual fan will appreciate? heck yes.

go forth and purchase!!!

Really like mine. It may not be metal but the finish is a heck of a lot nicer than the previous fan-made one I had.

I have to agree with Phase and double M, it's a nice piece and the customer service from HCG has been incredible, just based on my own experiences. The Dallas blaster does have a bit of sagage tho, at least the 2 ive seen do.

But for the money, it's very cool.. I have "negotiated" several times with it..you just can't help yourself. I would love a sound board for it, and some metal parts. then it would be perfect.
