How big was Gizmo from Gremlins?

There's a new singing/dancing Gizmo from Neca and it looks really good! I bought it and was wondering how close in size he is to the real deal. Anyone know?

think he was very very small but then i seen him on a 15 inch tv as a kid

Screen Giz was a good bit larger than the older Neca figure if that helps. There's a Gizmo at my local Planet Hollywood. I'd say he's just under 12" tall.

I've got one, it's a decent display piece for the money and pretty close to the screen used puppet in size, to my eye anyway.

Gremlins was produced at a time when combining horror and comedy was becoming increasingly popular.

dont know if it helps but at imats london this year there was an origipnal lenny mogwai the one with the googly eyes from gremlins 2 and that was about 10 inches tall..... was very very cute too !!!
