How accurate is the Obi-Wan Kenobi lightsaber made by Icons? Over the years I've seen a few versions come and go on the forums and I didn't pay close attention so I'm lost on the Obi-Wan ANH lightsaber. Thanks.

If the latest versions by Russ and Roman are 99% accurate, the ICONS would be about a 60%.

Overall a good representation, and amazing given that it was produced from only photos and movie stills, but not accurate to the actual parts.

It looks ok (I have trouble assigning a percentage) if you want something to say "that's an Obi saber, but compared to even a less than accurate contemporary saber, such as a Parks, it's obviously way off in many details, most flagrantly, imo, the awful windvane. Compared to many of the runs on this board, it looks pretty weak. But if you can pick one up really, really cheap, what the heck. I found a loose MR for 225, and loved it. But relentless money grief made me sell it :(

Do a search on here as there was a thread detailing on its strengths and weakness

Thank you for all your input, I appreciate it. I see a Russrep lightsaber here for sale for $575, looks great but way too much for me and the Icons is $255 so I was really hoping the Icons was alot more accurate like maybe 95% accurate. I have the MR ROTS Obi-Wan lightsaber which I really like but if I run across an accurate ANH saber for a really good price I'll get it.

Found Parks Sabers but theirs looks a bit off also.

I had an Icons back in the day - actually a really nice and unique representation of that saber but no, it isn't accurate by todays standards.

Still is a nice collectable though.

An all Romas saber can usually be found for $250-$350 depending on market and if the parts are from his latest runs it's in the 95% accuary range.

I found Parks Sabers website awhile back and they have an Obi-Wan ANH lightsaber called the Mark III, how accurate is that? Thank you.

In terms of shapes (rather than materials) it's about on par with an Icons. Because it's based on a real grenade some of the details around the windvane and neck will be more accurate but the shapes aren't those of the prop's specific grenade.

Anyway, you'll want to do some searching before you buy from him.
