How accurate is the Obi-Wan Kenobi lightsaber made by Icons? Over the years I've seen a few versions come and go on the forums and I didn't pay close attention so I'm lost on the Obi-Wan ANH lightsaber. Thanks.
It looks ok (I have trouble assigning a percentage) if you want something to say "that's an Obi saber, but compared to even a less than accurate contemporary saber, such as a Parks, it's obviously way off in many details, most flagrantly, imo, the awful windvane. Compared to many of the runs on this board, it looks pretty weak. But if you can pick one up really, really cheap, what the heck. I found a loose MR for 225, and loved it. But relentless money grief made me sell it
Thank you for all your input, I appreciate it. I see a Russrep lightsaber here for sale for $575, looks great but way too much for me and the Icons is $255 so I was really hoping the Icons was alot more accurate like maybe 95% accurate. I have the MR ROTS Obi-Wan lightsaber which I really like but if I run across an accurate ANH saber for a really good price I'll get it.
Found Parks Sabers but theirs looks a bit off also.
In terms of shapes (rather than materials) it's about on par with an Icons. Because it's based on a real grenade some of the details around the windvane and neck will be more accurate but the shapes aren't those of the prop's specific grenade.
Anyway, you'll want to do some searching before you buy from him.
