That is awesome and looks like it could be built pretty easily. Aligning the magnetic field would be al little tricky. Still looks do-able.

Make the board lighter, make the magnet stronger...or come up with an optical effect rather than a magnetic one.

...It's times like these I'm glad I used to be an illusion designer. There are tons of ways to achieve this. Not all are as clean as using an electromagnet, but most should at least get the point across.

Not impressed really. Not trying to be a party pooper, but its basically the same thing as those floating pens, without the holder.

That's not the impressive part, the key to it is the laser stabilization system that keeps it steady and level even when he applies pressure to it.
