anyone know of any house hold mold release. i have a rubber mold im going to use to cast some resin dread beads. the guy at the hobby place said PAM cooking spray but im not sure any other suggestions while my rubber cures over night

I use vaseline, for both my dreadring moulds and dread mould, every other pull i smear a thin layer all around, i use fast cast resin for my beads, but i am sure some resins will not like vaseline so do a test 1st.

lee do you make your own dreads

Yeah i made my own for P2 and will be for all mty heads from now on, the materials are expensive over here so its only really viable to make my own.

silicone spray lubricant has always worked for me
Green dish soap works well too. Just a thin layer and there ya go. I have used it when doing silicone into a silicone mold which is a no no but it worked fine. I recommend doing a test patch first.
Also if you are doing resin into rubber there should be no problem anyway.

I used baby powder some time back.. It worked ok but I would recommend some thing else other then that...

Washing up liquid cut with Iso propyl alcohol works a treat...also works well as a sealer on stone moulds if you plan on casting something like silicone in them too.
