House : The movies....

G'day folks,

I am going through the 80's era of horrors and comedy horrors. I love the first House and the skeleton Ben outfit. Anyone ever done it as a costume or have any props from the franchise here? From any in the series...love to see 'em

Yeah, this was a great movie from what I can remember. I don't recall having seen the dvd's anywhere though, only VHS. The Crystal Skull would also make an awesome replica. I wonder if anyone ever made a Slim from House 2.

I have the region 2 DVD of the first film (hence the screen shot above)

Thats a great looking mask but probably way out of my price range.

actually I found that masks have been done. There was one on nightowl forum...I am sure I saw one the other day somewhere. I gather ben is wearing an M1...Mmm Vorhess rib cage....rubies skeleton gloves.......I feel a plan coming on lol

Ha! All I remember about this movie was the styrene-relief VHS cover at my local Video Shop back in the eighties. It used to creep me out as a kid.

I have both films on one Region 1 DVD. I got it in the $5 bin at WalMart several years ago. I'm sure you can find it on amazon for far less.

As far at the costume goes, I could just modify mine. Instead of the suit, I'd just have to put on BDUs:

I have been working on the skull as a side project for a while now.

The good news is I have found a great company to make it, out of crystal, with the jeweled eyes.

The bad news is the cost of the thing, it's gonna be expensive.

Still, it is definitely something I want in my collection one day. It's a terrific piece. The cost of the clear resin, the pressure pot, etc ends up being more than the thing would cost me from the factory. The way I look at it, if ya gotta get a crystal skull, get that sucker actually made out of crystal

I would love to see someone make the ceremonial mask that gramps was buried with though, that is a little out of my league, but damn it looked cool.

Tri...that is a really GREAT costume. Love to see him with the M1 and the bdu's you need the M60 machine gun and the milky white eye though remember lol Waht a great costume idea.....
