Hooded Swan scratchbuild

Here is my scratchbuilt model of the Starship 'Hooded Swan' from the series of 70's SF novels by Brian Stableford. The ship features on the covers of the UK paperbacks (different pictures in the US) and also features as the liner 'Interstellar Queen' in the Terran Trade Authority Handbooks.

The model is about 20" long and made from plasticard, aluminium sheet and milliput.

did not know this serie but I like the ship.
Would you have pics of the WIP ?

I don't have in progress photos, I did a build thread many years ago on another forum but the pictures have gone to wherever it is that internet photos go to die. Sorry.

Beautiful scratch build. I wonder if this was an inspiration for the
Serenity ship from Firefly? Very very cool!

Thanks. Others have spotted the Serenity look, I didn't see it until it was pointed out to me. Another ship that resembles it is the privateer from the Doctor Who story Warriors' Gate.

No probs.
thanks a lot for having shared theses ones!

Thanks. Actually, these covers were painted by Angus McKie but Foss did do a lot of brilliant ones around then which would make great subjects for models.
