Holy Shotgun re-vamp

Inspired by a few others I have seen do this I decided to re-do my Constatine Holy Shotgun. I did like the idea of the base with the hands, so my intent was to make it removeable but still use the hands of the "fallen" to hold it.
I broke the shotgun off the hands (shattering a few fingers along the way) patched up and re-painted the shotgun, and with some dremel work, a little glue, and some paint, I rebuilt the hands to hold the gun but keep it removeable.
I still need to get the cross of the font sight, but besides that I am happy with it. No great work of art, I know, but a fun and easy revamp of a prop I like.

Here is the original picture - out of the box--

And a few after I was done. :D

Thanks for the pic hosting WC

That looks great. I keep meaning to pick one of these up.
I'm really glad to see one of these done where the base and hands have still been used to hold the prop

Great work :thumbsup

Wow - nice job. I need to do mine still. I like the way you were able to save and use the base still as well.

Thanks.
I was worried about the hands, they were pretty trashed after getting the gun off the stand. But they turned out well, lucky they have a lot of texture to hide changes, and take to the dremel very well.

There was one nice moment there, were I picked up the wrong can of spaypaint and instead of a nice glossy coat on the gun I got a great stripe of Gloss White Enamel covering half the barrel. One of those things you just have to laugh at in order to stay sane. I just let it dry and re-painted the gold/brass color and re-applied the black wash, and everything was back to normal.

Very sweet piece. I loved following the threads on the Constantine props, very cool stuff, lots of work to them but well worth it.
