It's everyone's least favorite, and hideously ugly lightsaber! The infamous Holiday Special lightsaber!
This ugly prop was cobbled together after completion of A New Hope in preparation for the filming of the Variety special that would air only one time (and for very good reason) after all of the rented props for A New Hope were returned to the studio. This lightsaber was made from a newer model Graflex camera flash (50s'-60's model, not the more famous 30's-40's model) and features a hand cut sheet metal shroud, standard grips, an odd red light, keychain, and the most bizarre looking control box ever.
