Highlander (film) sword advice

Looking for...

Connor film version, my understanding is the 2nd film sword was more refined. What is generally preferred? Was it more idealized? I am ok with that.
Price range below $400.00.

I see a few things out there, but what is the RPF consensus on best bang for the buck?

Functional not necessary. Faux edge is fine.

It's funny, people tend to prefer the ANH Vader, even though it certainly is far from refined. People seem to prefer the Raiders look for Indy, even though that is one of the most wonky hats ever put on film. The same goes for the Highlander sword. The first one is just a half-hearted prop, a dragon head epoxied on top of the original hilt design. They did go through several iterations as the movies went along. Highlander Endgame just used the Marto version of the sword. That's probably the best bang for the buck. It doesn't much resemble the original movie's sword, and it is a wall hanger. I'm sure there are some custom jobs out there, and I think IrishAmerican was working on some, but I'm not sure if you want to get in to that with the recent issues that have cropped up. But I'm sure others can give you more details about what's available...

Thanks for the info guys, it's a bit like opening Pandora's box compared to my Conan sword experience that's for sure!

In the end, there can be only.... a dozen confusing options.:lol
