Hessian Horseman Sword

I managed to get hold of the Factory X sword some years back. Also have the Axe.

If they're really hard to get hold of now, I think I'll keep them for my retirement :)

Have those myself. But the Factory X sword was a disappointment, and this one seemed dead on.

...I don't know if it ever was released?

Beginning to wonder myself...

I now see the difference!
The Factory X version was heavy. The Museum Replicas version must weigh a ton!

Thanks for posting that... Proves how meager and disappointing the Factory X sword was.

Still, the Museum Replicas sword seems very rare. Was Heisenberg the ONLY RPF member to get this? I'd be surprised if so...

I do remember that someone was going to make Hessian replica swords but the price was really high for most of us prop guys...plus it was a real sword...I just wanted a costume piece. Still would be on my list of props...hint hint someone more talented than I needs to tackle it.

irishamericanlad might be able to bang out some wall hangers

For real steel? Like real carbon death blades, prolly about 1200 total... But I can always work with you, we can fid an existing blade from a sword and use that instead

Which is fair, (Albion was $1,500), albeit out of my range.

Would aluminum be notably less, or just a little bit so?

I owned a Museum Replicas sword a while ago and it was a beast! It weighed about five pounds, but it was super accurate. I was going to buy the sword's actual production molds that were used for the film, but unfortunately the owners and I could not make a deal.

SO this is weird. I have been looking for this sword for ever...they never pop up on ebay, and if they do they sell for alot...by chance I went to museum replicas website to look at pics of the sword on sunday. It has said SOLD OUT forever...but sunday it said CLOSEOUT. I called them right away and they said they had one in stock...which seemed weird to the customer service guy since it sold out like a month after they came out. He checked and they had one. Could have been a return that never got filed or lost in the store room...I don't know...what I do know is I bought it straight away!

It's 45 inches long and heavy! Now to start the Hessian costume!

I did not hesitate. It's not even on the website now. but I was a bit nervous, that when I opened it, it would be broken or the wrong item. So glad to have gotten this.
