The Red Baron would make brownies in his pants if he saw that on his six. :lol

Is that a real wood prop, or did you paint it? If painted, you did a damn good job.

Thanks Vade. That's the plastic kit prop. Used my secret recipe for wood.
 
did it happen to come in a blue thin cardboard box with clouds on it and was an off white/light grey colored plastic? i think i had that exact same model. i need to dig it up and put it together.
how did you do that prop, i must know... :)

Its an old Revell kit, 1/28 scale. Was red plastic.

Thanks on the prop. I use a pine-colored base coat (Unbleached Titanium White), and lightly brushed on thinned Raw Sienna.
 
So, what looks like wood grain is actually just brush strokes...

The only thing is, though, due to the way the wood for a prop like this is cut, the grain isn't usually quite so linear...
