Do you have a link to the place that has the blank flats with the holes? I've got no sources right now. At least that way I could probably emboss the edges myself and use vinyl.

I don't think I'll ever be able to buy one of your JP plates as you're unlikely to do a 06 which I need as it's not seen in the movie!

Look for used flat plate state plates on eBay. Indiana uses flat plates, New York just changed, I see lots of states changed over.

Ha! Yeah. Well, I was late to the game in buying my Explorer, so I let the other 2 guys doing their replicas take 04 and 05 which are the screen-used ones. There was an 06 one at some point...

It's just a shame the plates got made with #12 on them. If they'd been left blank in that area then everyone could have cut their own vinyl and put whatever numbers they wanted on there.

PS- That Demolition Man plate is a trip! I may reverse engineer that one just for the hell of it! Never been asked for it before. But nobody ever even knew what the Robocop plate looked like and we did that one...lol.

I have a Demolition Man plate (different numbers), I can scan it if you want (or if anyone else wants, for that matter...)

It's just a piece of black plastic with the letters/numbers cut out and stuck to it... :cool

Yeah, real prop plates are usually very simple in construction. In our archive we have prop plates made from various metals, masonite, fiberglass, vinyl, acrylic, and wood. The oldest prop plates tend to be wood and masonite with everything hand painted by a sign painter.

That is in the research stage. We contacted the guy that made the original and he is going to help us out. It is an odd plate that never could have happened in real life. But that is quite often the case it seems.

Sorry. Tooling is expensive. We could cut corners. Go offshore and have them made in China. We would rather take our time, spend more and keep it 100% in the USA. It will happen. Patience is virtuous.
