Help With Painting

i've just started buliding model kits. Can anyone give adice on how to paint? Base layers, paint layers etc. I'm painting an Airfix kit with tamiya acrylics.

have you tried looking for online tutorials, perhaps buy some magazines such as tamiya model magazine.

they usually have a step by step build and paint ups of their kits.

the tamiya paints are best used through an airbrush i find,have you got one?

i've not long gotten hold of an airbrush so will be trying it out shortly. Its not an expensive one as I didnt see the point as i've never used one before. I'll take a look online. Thanks
